A native of Bucks County, PA, Barbara Buck studied classical Japanese haiku poetry while living in Japan over fifty years ago. In this, her third haiku book, she shares her unique perspective about the interplay of nature, humanity, time and space.
She currently lives in Apache Junction, AZ. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys exploring Arizona's deserts, rivers and mountains, including its premier birding spots.
REVIEW:
"Lovers of Haiku will find this book to be a delight. For those readers unfamiliar with Haiku, this book is a perfect introduction to this poetic form. Regardless of your experience with Haiku, this book will transport you from coast to coast, from mountains to seashores and from swamps to deserts. Although the geographic scope of the book is wide-ranging, the poems also reveal the beauty that surrounds each of us – even in our own backyards. Like all great writing it will cause the reader to see familiar things in a new way and new things in a familiar way. I enthusiastically recommend SUN MOON SKY to anybody who enjoys Haiku and to those who wish to see our natural world through new eyes."
